In his effort to provide basic amminities to the people of the state, Hon. Kashim Shettima has on Wednesday embarked on massive inspection of some on going projects across Maiduguri Metropolitan.
The Governor’s first point of call was Kulogumna Primary School where he inspected the on going reconstruction work in the school which was compeletly destroyed by Boko Haram some years back and directed the school management to employ graduate and NCE holders in the area to teach in the school. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work at site and called on SUBEB to replicate similar structures in all schools across the state.
Another point of call of the Governor was Yerwa Clinic where he ordered for installation of 27 KVA transformer and a borehole at the premises of the clinic to inhance service delivery. Furthermore, he directed the ministry of health to provide the clinic with all basic equipment needed for smooth day to day operation.
Also, the Governor commended Hon. Chiroma Usman, Chairman of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council for engagement the services of medical doctors in various clinics across the MMC and urged him to maintain the tempo.
While in Dalori IDP Camp, the Governor directed the ministry of health to immediately renovate the camp clinic and called on the Principal of the School in the camp and the Education Secretary of Bama Local Education Authority not to pay the salaries of teachers who are not ready to work.
